PayPal Awards $100,000 Battle Hack Prize to Team Moscow for Donate Now App

PayPal, the service  that allows people to send payments without sharing financial information, announced the $100,000 grand-prize winner of its Battle Hack Series, a global hackathon competition. The two-day Battle Hack World Finals took place at the PayPal Headquarters in San Jose and hosted 10 teams of developers from across the globe.

On November 18, 2013, Yaroslav Kuzminov, Head of the Russian Public Chamber Commission for Education Development, took part in the all-Russian forum ‘Public Observations of the Unified State Examination (USE) in 2014’. The forum looked at how procedures for the USE could be improved.

Austria Day in HSE Nizhny Novgorod Campus – for the Whole City

Austria Day took place in the HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod campus, which has close connections with Austrian universities. The event is part of the Austrian Cultural Season, which started in Moscow in the middle of May and is taking place in 17 Russian cities.

A Winning Proposition

The partnership between the HSE and ESCP Europe has been developing since 2005. The joint English-language programme Master in European Business was launched in 2013. The programme is aimed at providing a professional education to the future top managers of large international companies. Professor  Emmanuel Dupoux , Paris, Ecole Normale Supérieure ( ENS) will visit the HSE, Moscow  for a lecture entitled  ‘Quantitative modeling of early language acquisition’ on November, 15, 2013. He shared a few ideas with the HSE news service and spoke about his research interests.
