The Mathematical Algorithms and Modelling in Telecommunications workshop is a joint project of the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics and the YADRO company. In the workshop led by MIEM teachers and YADRO experts, HSE University students who successfully pass the selection process will look for solutions to pressing problems in the implementation of fourth- and fifth-generation mobile communications.

The YADRO educational track will complement HSE MIEM’s bachelor's programmes, which will allow students from different courses to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are in demand in the field of telecommunications and necessary for a successful career. The project participants are faced with the task of developing, optimising, and modelling mathematical algorithms used in modern mobile communication networks of the fourth and fifth generations. All students involved in the workshop will receive a monthly stipend from YADRO.

The collaboration is another step in the implementation of practice-oriented training at MIEM, which also includes the opportunity for high-performing students to undergo an internship at YADRO.

Evgenii Krouk, Academic Supervisor and Director, HSE MIEM

‘The opening of the workshop is yet another step in the development of cooperation between YADRO and HSE MIEM. Advanced mobile technologies are promising areas of high-tech production in which it is extremely important to increase competencies. We appreciate the opportunity to directly find out what knowledge and skills a potential employer wants to see in young specialists, and we expect that our cooperation will provide a high level of training for specialists in the field of telecom technologies.'

Evgeniy Maksimov, Director for Ecosystem Development and Educational Initiatives, YADRO

‘Our cooperation with HSE MIEM is aimed at popularising promising telecom technologies and the profession of telecom development engineer. The YADRO educational track will combine the unique experience of company experts and university teachers. Together with project work in the new workshop, this will allow future specialists to gain knowledge and practical skills in one of the fastest-growing industries.’
