HSE Maintains Top Position in Russian University Ranking of English-language Websites
The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) has presented an analytical report entitled 'Electronic Internationalisation Ranking of Russian Universities (2023).' One of its components is a ranking of English-language websites of Russian universities, with HSE University maintaining the top position.
In recent years, RIAC has been researching and promoting effective practices among Russian universities in the English-speaking segment of the internet, aiming to enhance the international standing of Russian higher education.
In 2023, the study was conducted for the eighth time. The resulting analytical report presents an updated ranking of English-language websites of Russian universities, along with finding from a survey of university staff involved in internationalisation efforts, and highlights best practices in electronic internationalisation. There is a separate analysis of factors which potential students from India and China tend to find particularly important in choosing a Russian university.

HSE University maintains its top position in the ranking for the eighth consecutive year. As noted by Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director General, 'HSE University demonstrates the best Russian internet practices for promoting educational services and elevating the university's brand in the international academic arena.'
The report states that over the past year, the team of the HSE Online Media and Mobile Applications Office has revamped the website of the HSE Alumni Centre by upgrading its design, integrating links to social media groups, and providing additional information about the alumni card and other opportunities for graduates.
Moreover, ongoing efforts are being made to enhance the English-language versions of HSE University Life and IQ.HSE, a research and education portal.
